DWTS ‘fix’ scandal as pros allege Jenna was ‘favored’ and there was tension after result

A source close to the production of Dancing With the Stars has raised concerns about potential favoritism following the show’s Season 33 finale.
The finale, which featured five finalists competing for a cash prize, concluded with unexpected tension behind the scenes.
Hosts Julianne Hough, who threw shade at a fellow contestant, and Alfonso Ribeiro announced the rankings, with Danny Amendola and Witney Carson placing fifth, Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold fourth, and Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong taking third place.
The final showdown came down to Ilona Maher with Alan Bersten and Joey Graziadei with Jenna Johnson.
When Graziadei and Johnson were announced as winners, the moment was marked by emotional responses, including Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna’s husband, jumping with excitement.
An insider speaking exclusively to The U.S.Sun alleged underlying tensions within the show’s professional dance community.
“The whole crew felt very moved by Chandler and Brandon making history and the pros were mostly all in agreement that they were the most talented and deserved that trophy,” the source said.
The source further claimed: “It’s hard because certain pros appear to get favored on the show and the Chmerkovskiy’s are one of the show’s sweethearts.”
The insider noted that Jenna and Val have been successful, with Val winning last season and Jenna previously winning the Athletes season in 2018.

Public reaction was mixed, with viewers taking to social media to voiced their opinion.
One critic stated: “So unfair of Jenna to get another win just because she was paired up with a young, able-to-move guy. Give her someone geriatric and she wouldn’t be there.”
“The Chmerkovskiy’s being favored by the show needs to be studied,” another commented.
DWTS alum Keo Motsepe told The U.S. Sun that he thought it was “very clear” that Chandler should win.
